Own a piece of Lancaster Inferno history! This auction is for a jersey* that was worn by our women's team in 2016. That same year Lancaster Inferno left the WPSL league and helped found a brand new league -- UWS. Inferno also played their last game of the season at the Clipper Stadium. It was a memorable year! This auction is for Jersey #16. We don't have a photo of a player in the jersey, so we are going to tell you about another Inferno Coach and notable alumni -- ex-pro Elizabeth Wenger. A standout at Georgetown University, she was named 2017 Big East Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead Georgetown to the 2016 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal and to win the 2016-17 Big East Tournament. She was a 17th overall pick in the 2018 National Women’s Soccer League Draft, and most recently played professionally in Switzerland with FC Lugano Femminile. Wenger was also part of the Swiss Association of Football Players “Golden 11” for the 2018/2019 seasons. As a student at Warwick High School, she was 2nd team LL-League All-Star in 2010 and First team in 2011. The jersey is Under Armour Heat Guard in a women's size Medium. *Shorts are not included.
